Product Feedback: Add Product Pages by Collection

Adding product pages individually by selecting each product is very time-consuming, especially for larger companies with a large number of products.

I was hoping this issue would have been fixed by now, as I’ve already reported it. However, I’m still facing the same problem. I’ve been using this product since March, and there hasn’t been any improvement yet.

This should be a relatively simple development, but it would significantly improve the product and make the workflow much more efficient. For example, allowing users to add product pages by filtering or selecting an entire collection instead of having to select each product individually would be a huge improvement.

    Hi @Prakash Prajapathi

Thanks for sharing this again, and I’m sorry this hasn’t been improved since you first reported it in March.

To be transparent, we’re still working on finding a good solution to automatically handle products within a collection. We’ve made some progress, but the processing time is still a challenge.

The main complexity is that our current mechanism requires us to sync products between Shopify and GemPages, while Shopify only allows templates to be assigned at the individual product level. So, assigning a template to an entire collection means we still need to detect and process every product in that collection individually.

It becomes even more challenging because Shopify collections can automatically include new products. For example, when a new product is created and automatically added to a collection, we need a way to detect that change and assign the appropriate template without repeatedly rescanning the entire collection, which can be resource-intensive.

We’re still working through this part and haven’t found the ideal approach yet. I’ll share an update with you as soon as we have a solid solution and a plan to implement it.

Thanks again for your patience and for pushing us on this.

    Have a nice day,

    Lucas
