Assign Product Page Templates by Collection
I would like to request a feature that allows product page templates to be assigned at the collection level rather than having to assign a template manually to each individual product. At the moment, if I want certain products to use a specific GemPages product template I need to assign that template product by product. This becomes time-consuming especially when continuously adding new products to the store.
The ideal functionality would be:
When a product is added to a specific collection, it should automatically use the product page template assigned to that collection. For example, if I assign a custom GemPages template to the “Shoes” collection, then any existing or newly added products within that collection should automatically use that same template without needing to be updated manually.
This would be very useful for stores with large catalogues or frequently added products, as it would save a lot of time and help keep product pages consistent across collections. Please could you consider adding this as a future feature?

Hi @Famous A
Thank you for following up.
We've researched the request and found that we first need to improve our product and collection synchronization workflow before we can support collection-based template assignment efficiently. Currently, mapping products to collections and then managing template assignments can be quite resource-intensive at scale.
Improvements to the sync process are already on our roadmap. Once that foundation is in place, we'll be in a much better position to evaluate the implementation approach and provide a more reliable timeline for this feature.
We’ll share updates as progress is made.
